Our Mission: To Make Credit Accessible, Rigorous, and Exciting
The mission of University of Chicago Credit Group is three fold.
Education — Increase student engagement in the specialized field of credit by developing a focused, modular curriculum that introduces fundamentals, sector-specific credit analysis, and career pathways.
Networking & Recruiting — Expand access to industry connections and recruiting pipelines by organizing targeted networking events, mentorship programs, and employer partnerships tailored to students pursuing finance and credit roles.
Hands-on Experience — Provide practical, real-world learning through credit modeling workshops, supervised pitch projects, and case competitions that simulate professional credit analysis.
The Club Structure
UCG General Body serves as the foundation of the club, where members build broad credit knowledge through NME-style education, guest speaker events, and programming focused on markets, recruiting, and industry exposure

Members can join High Yield Pitch Pods, organized by sector: Industrials; Consumer, Energy & Utilities; Financials & Real Estate; and TMT. Each pod is led by an SL leader, completes two pitches per quarter, and publishes its work
